Digital Photography Essentials Course
If you would like to be notified of an upcoming course, please subscribe to our news letter at this link: www.marcdurocher.com/newsletter
This course will teach the basics of digital photography with an emphasis on its fundamental concepts. The material is designed for amateur photographers who want to better understand these concepts in order to improve their images. These concepts will apply to all types of photography including nature, wildlife, and portraiture. The lessons will be presented in a non-technical manner that will be easy for everyone to understand.
In this weekend course, you will be introduced to the concepts of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and depth of field. You will also learn about different camera modes such as shutter priority, aperture priority, Manual mode and when it is best to use each of them. We will also go over exposure modes and focus modes that beginner photographers often find difficult to understand with today’s advanced DSLR cameras. You will then learn about the different properties of light, and how to apply basic composition techniques to improve their images.
Basic knowledge of how to use your camera is recommended. Any Digital camera, including “point and shoot” cameras, can be used, however DSLR cameras are highly recommended.
