I have some great news to share today! Β A little over a year ago, I joined the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). Β One of the most important reasons that I joined was to eventually earn the designation of Nationally Accredited Professional Photographer. Β Β Β I am also very proud because I am only the 2nd Photographer in Timmins to have achieved this prestigious designation.
Today, I am very proud to share the following press release from the PPOC.
Who are the Professional Photographers of Canada?
The Professional Photographers of Canada is a diversified group of creative artists dedicated to the highest standards in professional imaging.Β It is the largest and most respected Photographic association in Canada.
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation demonstrates that the photographer has been deemed capable of delivering image excellence in that field by a panel of their peers, which sets them apart as being industry leaders.
As a member of the PPOC, you can expect me to:
- Perform to a high standard of conduct in accordance with the code of ethics
- Constantly upgrade my skills
- Apply my best efforts towards providing the best possible photographic services
In order to receive the accreditation, the panel of Nationally Certified Judges must accept all 10 images presented for the category.
I owe a lot of “Thank You’s”
I need to thank a few people who helped me to make this possible. Β First of all, my girlfriend Lynn who constantly supports me in everything I do. Β I also want to thank my brother Alex for helping during the shoot, Hedi Garito at Shear-Fx Β for doing all the hair and makeup for this shoot and Dayna Wells who provided her amazing modelling talents for this shoot. Β Finally, I need to thank several Photographers in the PPOC who helped guide me. Β Wendy, Warne, Tony, John and Jean – I learned a lot from you and I truly appreciate the time you took to share your experience with me.
And there are the images!
